You know a good deal when you see one, but there are times when that good deal is not what it seems. There are many great rebate offers out there, but there are few who actually take advantage of them. Most buy these items with good offers and rebates with the full intention of getting their money back, but most don?t end up doing it. Companies know this, and that is why they feel comfortable with many offers they put out there.
The main reason why some rebate offers go unfulfilled is because the offers are too complicated. Some make you jump through hoops to get the rebate, and then the customer never follows through with it. Some people are motivated, but then simply forget to get what should be mailed out done in time. The majority of people have the latter problem. They mean to do it, but they put it aside for tomorrow or the next day. Before they know it, the rebate offers are buried in a pile and they find them long after the offer has expired. It?s a very common tale.
Other times, rebate offers have expired, but the costumer has not realized this until they get home. This can sometimes be because the company put a short time period on the offer, but most of the time it happens because the product has been on the store shelves longer than expected. When you see rebate offers you should always find out when they expire as you are looking at how easy or hard they will be to fulfill. If you shop in discount stores, or even dollar stores, you may find that all of the rebates on products have most likely past their date and you won?t save any money that way.
You don?t have to find rebate offers in stores, however, as you have more places to look than you used to. You can find great offers by watching advertisements on television, or by looking around online. You may find that some web sites that list nothing but rebate offers that you may be able to take advantage of. As with other offers, make sure you check the dates to see that these offers for rebates are current and that you can easily fulfill the requirements. You won?t save any money if you buy something with the rebate in mind, only to find time is gone and you never got it done.
